So the time has come for me to start collecting my Space Marine army which will hopefully crush the Chaos scum! First things first, a little background on the campaign...
Basically the Ultramarines have found that Abaddon is temporarily stranded on a small ice covered planet, as his cruiser has suffered damages travelling through the warp. The Ultramarines know that if they destroy Abaddon the forces of Chaos will be in disarray, at least until the Chaos Gods choose a new champion. So the Ultramarines have a small window of opportunity, knowing that they must attack quickly and with stealth, Marneus Calgar prepares his troops for battle!
So with the stage set I ran out and grabbed the Space Marine codex. After doing a little bit of researching i also decided to grab the Assault on Black Reach box set (add to my Orkzez as well yay!) along with a box of scouts. More info on the mission we've decided on and my army list next blog. Who knows I may have even painted a few models!

Hello!
Hello there!
So you've stumbled across my blog on my hobby, miniature wargaming! I've been involved in the Games Workshop world for about 5 years now. I started off playing The Lord of the Rings battlegame, and have Dwarf army of about 1000pts, a Rohan army of about 500pts and an Uruk-Hai army of about 500pts. One day i bought a White Dwarf and this lead to me discovering the two other main games systems that Games Workshop produce. Although I do have a slight interest in Warhammer (I have a fledgingly 1000pt Dwarf army, yes I know Dwarves again!) I was instantly taken in by Warhammer 40,000! There was just something about the models and the background that I was immediately drawn to. So i instantly wanted to start an army. I liked the look of all the armies, but after reading the background and seeing the models of "da orkz" I decided I'd start a WAAAAAAAAGGGGH! Which leads me up to now, 2000pts of Orks and 2000pts of Necrons later and I've decided it's time for a new army! My friend and I have decided that we're going to do a narrative campaign in order to help us collect our armies, in which I will collect a Space Marine army and he will collect Chaos. Anyway I've gotta jet now, just wanted to give you some background on myself look out for the next post which will include all the info on the campaign, and my goal to be the greatest Space Marine captain ever!
